Mazda The shape of time

For Mazda, in 2021 Between curated and organized an extremely articulated project that was framed within the Japanese automaker’s centennial celebrations, characterized by a short film recovering and telling the story of the MX-81 prototype designed by Bertone in 1981 and the influence it had in the realization of the MX-30 (Mazda’s latest), and by the subsequent launch event: a hybrid video-conference, with numerous in-person speeches and live connections with Japan, in which the original prototype restored right in Turin was unveiled for the first time. The project had as its core theme the role of connections and contaminations between Mazda and Italian design excellence, between Italy and Japan, which can be traced back as far as the 1960s, thanks to the fortunate meeting between designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and journalist and entrepreneur Hideyuki Miyakawa. For the agency, the professional challenge ran on two parallel tracks, having to take care of all the complex logistics of the event while at the same time guaranteeing maximum coverage through press office and online communication, having also contributed to the making of the short film itself.
