XEV is an automotive company founded in 2018 that produces electric vehicles, whose headquarters are located in China, while the design center is in Turin, Italy. In 2019, at the Turin Auto Show, it debuted the YOYO, a minicar designed primarily for local transport, which has been in regular production since 2021, also signing important agreements with energy companies such as Eni. Between accompanied XEV throughout the YOYO’s presentation phase, making promotional mini-films with the aim of telling the vehicle’s features, its mission and the technological innovations that distinguish it, such as battery swap. It was an articulated work: in the writing and planning phase of the mini-films; in the shooting phase, given the many aspects related to logistics, such as coordinating crews and actors and obtaining the necessary permits to film in the city center; and finally in the post-production phase, with graphics, subtitling and editing activities, given the need to propose videos of different lengths depending on the promotional platforms.
